- Fraid the Scalextric has not updated that software in a long time and it even has issues on the latest Windows. If you can emulate Windows 7 or lower you could get it to work, There are alternatives though, such as Ultimate racer but I have no idea how Mac-compatible they are.

Right now, our options for track design software seem to be quite limited. Two of the better systems, Track Power and Slotman have disappeared.
Scalextric Track Designer only works for Scalextric track, and still seems to cause problems for many users.
Autorennbahnplaner gets good reviews, and is available for PC and Mac, but only for Carrera track systems.
Ultimate Racer is now the only widely available track design software that allows you to design a layout with any track system from any manufacturer, including scratchbuilt wooden tracks.

Track Designer was released in 2007 making it fairly dated today. Because of this it is not going to be up to date when compared to some of the other track design software available. It is an additional option though for those of you working with a Mac so that may be a plus for you.
Scalextric Track Designer Software
This program is a slot track designer for the Scalextric slot car racing system. It features sport and classic track libraries, color coded lane options, bridge creation, and many other editing features to assist your slot car track layout needs. This unregistered version is fully functional but has a 30 track piece limitation built in. The registration price is listed at $30 and a PayPal button to register the software is available on the developers website, however it is unknown if the software is still being supported today.
